EGG AND BEEF PROTEIN POWDER? WHAT DOES THAT TASTE LIKE?
It tastes great! Our ancient cacao flavor tastes like chocolate milk, and our aztec vanilla flavor tastes like a vanilla shake. Our plain version is unsweetened and unflavored and simply tastes bland and slightly bitter.
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR FISH OIL?
Our fish oil is sourced from a small and tightly controlled fishery in South America. We use only small fish – many companies use larger fish (like Cod) which are allowed to live longer so the get larger. The longer a fish lives, the more toxins and metals (like mercury) can build up.
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR VITAMIN D3?
Our Vitamin D3 is the body’s preferred form of Vitamin D – ours is in liquid form. Many companies use soybean oil (which is usually GMO) to encapsulate their Vitamin D – anything with soy in it is a ‘no no’ around here. We use Safflower Oil to encapsulate our D3.
WHAT DO YOU MIX THE PROTEIN POWDER WITH?
Most of the time we just use water for convenience! Our powders mix great in water – we recommend a ‘shaker cup’ for even mixing. Some of us even put the vanilla flavor in our morning coffee 😉 Our powders also mix great with other paleo foods like almond milk, berries, banana, almond butter, etc..
HOW MANY SERVINGS IN A LB?
Each pound of our protein powder contains 15 servings that equal over 30g each.
HOW IS THE BEEF PROTEIN MADE?
We don’t use beef collagen like some other companies claiming to have ‘beef’ protein – we use the actual steak and boil it in a ‘stew’ until the muscle fibers break down. We then spray dry it through a heat tunnel which then dehydrates the broth into a powder.
HOW IS THE EGG PROTEIN MADE?
To keep our egg protein soy-free we spray dry the eggs at high pressure through a heat tunnel that instantly dehydrates them (most companies use soy lecithin to ‘instantize’ their protein – nasty stuff)
WHAT ABOUT THE EGGS?
We use non-GMO egg suppliers that utilize cage-free methods as well as adhering to strict animal welfare standards.
WHY IS PEA PROTEIN NOT 'PALEO'?
We get this question often and the obvious one is a pea is a legume and legumes are big no-no’s because they contain anti-nutrients or phytic acid. Phytic acid acts in a way to binding to essential nutrients and blocking them from being absorbed and ultimately assimilated in the human body. Second pea protein or any vegetable based protein does not have as a complete of an amino acid profile as an animal based protein. And lastly if you want the most bang for your buck dealing with purity, no other protein in the market is as pure protein wise as our grass fed beef protein isolate, when most are ~90% pure our’s is 97-98% pure protein!

How many ounces of water do you mix the protein with?
Most will mix with between 10-16floz of water per standard Serving, and will add the liquid first before the powder before shaking for 30-60 seconds for optimal results!
This is my first time buying from y’all and I wanted to try out my sweet potato recovery powder, but it didn’t come with a scooper… how much is 1 scoop? 1-2 tbsp?
