Big numbers: Brodey hit .314 with 11 HR and 51 RBI at Stanford during the 2017 season, his Junior campaign. The left-handed hitting outfielder posted a .371 on-base percentage.
Former Nationals pick: Washington made Brodey a 37th-round pick in 2014, but the lefty chose to enter Stanford. Three years later, the Mets took him 34 rounds faster.
Cape League star: The summer Cape Cod League has long been a destination for college prospects to hone their skills during the collegiate offseason. Brody was a star there last summer, posting a .326/.359/.486 slash line.
