What’s keeping me balanced this week? Homemade smoothies. I LOVE smoothies but getting them at juice bars generally means excess amounts of fruit (which is good for you in the correct portions) and crazy blood sugar spikes. There’s something very nourishing about making them at home yourself and experimenting with new ingredients. I added a new ingredient to today’s. Recipe below:
Blend:
- 1 scoop @paleoproproducts vanilla protein powder
- 1 large handful of spinach
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp unsweetened crunchy almond butter
- 1/4 cup frozen sweet potato chunks
so thick and creamy and has my key #fab4 combo to keep me full and energized with very low sugar.
