It's no secret that the holiday season includes tasty temptations around every corner. There are some recipes that the holidays just wouldn't be the same without (eggnog, hot cocoa, candied yams, etc.) and we know that it can be hard to keep your health and wellness goals in mind with tantalizing treats available at a moment's notice. But, more taste doesn't always have to mean more calories! These guilt-free recipes provided by Paleo Pro social media followers boast tons of flavor and feature those classic holiday tastes that we all crave once the weather cools down. They're also GREAT healthy alternatives for high-calorie or traditionally 'indulgent' recipes. Try them for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments!

1. CHRISTMAS IN A SMOOTHIE BOWL by @whole30_marissa

Paleo Pro Protein Powder in holiday eggnog - frozen kombucha - bananas - almond milk - almond butter - cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS: Just blend and top with your favorite holiday cravings!

  2.SWEET POTATO PROTEIN MUFFINS by @justdimpleit

Recipe:

• 1 cup almond flour
•10 dates (soaked in hot water to soften)
• 1 cup baked sweet potato, skin removed
• 1 cup Paleo Pro sweet potato Recovery Powder
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• salt
• as many chocolate chips and nut butter drizzle as you want!

INSTRUCTIONS:

-Bake a sweet potato at 425 for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven and reduce oven to 350 degrees.
-Combine all ingredients together in a food processor or mixer
-Grease a muffin tin with coconut oil and bake for 15-20 minutes (makes 12!)

3.PALEO PRO HOT COCOA by @nicallnatural

• 1 scoop Paleo Pro Protein Powder in Ancient Cacao
• blend with hot water
•1 scoop Paleo Pro Bone Broth Collagen

TOP WITH:

• Dollop of dairy free coconut whipped cream
• Dash of cinnamon

4. Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothies by @shannamota

• 1/2 scoop Paleo Pro Protein Powder in Ancient Cacao
• 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
• handful of fresh mint
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1/2 an avocado
• 1 frozen banana
• 3/4 cup liquid of your choice (water, coconut water, almond, or chocolate milk)

INSTRUCTIONS: Blend and top with cocoa nibs and mint leaves!

  5. CREAMY BUTTERNUT SQUASH SMOOTHIE by @krisq23

• 1c almond milk
• 1/3c frozen cauliflower
• 1/2c frozen butternut squash
• 1 scoop Paleo Pro vanilla protein powder
• 1 tbsp almond butter+peanut butter
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• lots of cinnamon and a few ice cubes

INSTRUCTIONS: Blend and top with shaved coconut and granola!
