The Carnivore Diet Guide

The carnivore diet is simple on paper: eat meat, eggs and not much else. In practice it raises questions fast. What counts as allowed? Why is my stomach unhappy in week one? Where did my energy go, and is it coming back? We've written each of those up as its own entry, and this page puts them in a sensible order.

If you're new, start with the beginner's guide and the food list, then pick a meal plan. If you're a few weeks in and something feels off, the entries on carnivore flu, digestion and cholesterol are among our most-read for a reason. They're honest about what the research shows and where it runs out, because on this diet it runs out sooner than the internet suggests.

A word on shakes. Plenty of people eating this way still want a fast protein option for busy mornings. We cover what fits, what doesn't, and how to read a label before you buy anything, including ours.
